Rey Mysterio Injured in Santiago, Chile

WWE has recently posted a news article about Rey Mysterio. He has been injured while on WWE's South American tour. According to the article, last night Rey Mysterio partnered with Kane against Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins at a house show at Arena Santiago in Santiago, Chile.

During the match, Rey received an injury to his right bicep. The article says that Rey completed the match (kudos, a true champ). Apparently, Rey is now in a hospital in Gulf Breeze, FL, waiting to meet with surgeon Dr. James Andrews for diagnosis. Dr. Andrews has previously operated on 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, John Cena, Edge, Shawn Michaels & Triple H, among others.

WWE reports that regardless of Dr. Andrews' findings, Rey 'has his heart set on competing this Sunday night at No Way Out'.

I truly hope that this is a just a gimmick to hype the match at the pay per view this Sunday.

Rey, if this isn't a kayfabe injury, we certainly wish you the best and a speedy recovery.
