WWE Friday Night Smackdown Moving to MyNetwork TV

On WWE.com, as well as on Variety's website, it has been announced that Smackdown! will be moving to MyNetwork TV after the run on The CW is completed. At this time, there has been no announcement as to what day Smackdown! will air, but it will remain a two hour program.

This is great news for the struggling MyNetwork Network. I have mixed feelings about what it would mean for Smackdown. Hopefully, it will give Smackdown the same creative freedom that Monday Night Raw has on the USA Network. I mean, for me at least, the last highly memorable moment of Smackdown! was Brock Lesnar superplexing the Big Show off of the top rope, and that was way back in June of 2003.

For years Smackdown! has been ultra-tame due to UPN's, then The CW's, limitations of showing blood, etc.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
