Today on WWE's corporate site there was new press release. WWE has announced that Mattel is now the exclusive licensor for WWE figures, toys and more. If you recall, WWE has been trying to kill off the toy deal with Jakks Pacific, ever since the lawsuit that alleged Jakks Pacific's executives bribed a WWE executive to obtain WWE video game rights (The court ruled in Jakks Pacific's favor).
Interestingly, TNA also put a new press release, announcing that TNA has signed a 5-year licensing deal with Jakks Pacific.
I don't have any witty repartee about this... I just thought that it was an interesting bit of news.
