Hulk Hogan Challenges Ric Flair to a Match at Wrestlemania 24

You read that headline correctly.

In a video interview posted on MTV.com this morning, that's what Hulk Hogan is saying.

In the video, Hogan says, 'They need a main event real bad. When I think about Ric Flair stylin' and profilin', when I think about Hulk Hogan going head on head with Ric Flair in my backyard... They got a lot of tickets, brother, that need to be sold. The power of the 'mania, brother? Could be strong, brother.'

When asked if he was going to put Ric Flair out for good, Hogan replied, 'Either he'll put me out for good, or I'll put him out for good. One or the other. That would be the match of the new millennium. Hogan vs. Flair. Maybe get Vince McMahon as a special guest referee. Game on.'

Oh brother.

While this would sell a ton of pay per views, I can't see that Vince would ever do it. I mean, how could he? If Hogan wins, yes, Flair retires, but then Hogan gets a huge push right before he (supposedly) launches his new, rival wrestling promotion with Eric Bischoff. If Hogan loses, Flair has to stick around, and they have to figure out how to get rid of him again.

Smart move, Hulk. Even someone such as myself, who hates to watch the old-timers do the same moves they've done for decades, would be eager to watch. I don't think Vince is greedy enough to go for it. It wouldn't be a good business decision, if your new promotion is legit.

Lindsay Lohan Backstage at WWE Monday Night Raw, 2/18/2008

As reported on WWE.com, at last night's taping on WWE Monday Night Raw in Anaheim, Lindsay Lohan was backstage, to meet WWE Superstars (John Cena, Rey Mysterio, JBL) and kids from Canada's version of the Make A Wish Foundation, Sunshine Foundation.

I'm not sure why, but WWE is referring to her as an 'A' list celebrity, when this trainwreck is a D-list celebrity, at best. I truly find it hard to believe that this documented alcoholic and apparent coke-head gives a rat's ass about the sick children. In my opinion, this was simply for publicity. I am astounded that 1) WWE would even admit that she was backstage, given their new anti-substance campaign, and 2) that they'd make the connection between Lidnsay Lohan and the Sunshine Foundation.

In my opinion, Lindsay Lohan is a horrible role model for children and should be nowhere near them. I offer the following proof:

  • On various occasions, she has been photographed at night clubs in the company of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, two other poor role models. This alone makes you look awful.
  • August, 2004: Car accident in Studio City, CA
  • October, 2004: Car accident in West Hollywood, CA
  • July, 2006: Lindsay Lohan admitted to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment of 'overheating and dehydration', her third hospital visit in 2006. James G. Robinson, CEO of the film's production company for Georgia Rule wrote: "You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was 'heat exhaustion'. We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion'."
  • September, 2006: Hospitalized at St. Vincent's in NYC for what was called a 'broken wrist'.
  • November, 2006: Car accident in Los Angeles, CA
  • January, 2007: Checked herself into rehab. She later said in an interview with E! Online that "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab.", and "I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict" (Admitting your problem is the first step, tramp). She also addressed the rumor about the text message she supposedly sent to her boyfriend at that time about why she left rehab, that she missed "sex and McDonald's". In response to the rumor, she told E! Online that "I'm a sexual person..."
  • May, 2007: Arrested after a car accident. Police on the scene found cocaine in her car. Charged with drunk driving.
  • July, 2007: Arrested after an allegedly chasing her former assistant, Tracie Rice, in a car. Lindsay Lohan refused a breathalyzer. At the police station, a blood test proved her over California's legal limit. Cocaine found in her pocket. Arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine and transportation of a narcotic, in addition to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license

  • Yeah, she's a great role model for children.

I am sick of WWE.com's new 'TMZ' style celebrity reports. I'm not sure if they are just trying a different format, or if they have were trying to beat Paul Heyman's 'Heyman Hustle' to the punch.

I suppose I should be happy that they didn't put her on the air, which I think is the real reason she showed up in the first place... she wanted to be on TV.

In any case, stay the hell away from my kids, Lindsay. In my opinion, you're a scumbag and a waste of skin.

Eminem Wrestling Rumor False, Habbo No Way Out & More

Well, as I suspected, the whole 'Eminem wrestling in the WWE' rumor has been proved false... Totally bogus. If you didn't know, yesterday Media Take Out reported that Eminem had signed a deal with the WWE.

The Celebrity Truth has posted an article addressing the rumor. Celebrity Truth spoke to Eminem's publicist, Dennis Dennehy, who said, 'Eminem has no interest whatsoever in becoming a wrestler. This ‘source’ is making stuff up.'

Rumor Mill: Eminem signs with the WWE?

This morning mediatakeout.com is reporting that Eminem, (yes, that Eminem), has signed a wrestling deal with the WWE. According to a (unnamed, mind you) source 'inside Eminem's camp', the rapper has signed a deal with WWE and is currently training.

Media Take Out quotes the source as saying, 'He's not doing this as a joke either, he's really committed to being a wrestler. Wait and see, he's going to be flipping [other wrestlers] and doing all that crazy [EXPLETIVE]'

I gotta say, that if, if, IF this is true, I have mixed feelings about it. Although, John Cena hasn't 'really' used the hip hop gimmick in some time, it could either resurface, or become even more subdued. The obvious scenarios are a feud with, or teaming with, John Cena. At least the MNM stable with Melina, Nitro & Mercury is gone... although a feud over the name is a better angle, I think.

In a time when the legit 'I busted my ass to get here' guys-in-the-back seem desperately trying to break-out of wrestling, celebrities that many (not me, mind you) might call 'has-beens' or D-listers are trying to break in.

Trouble is, it never has seemed to work (Kevin 'K-Fed' Federline, Donald Trump, Pete Rose, Mr. T, Andy Kaufman etc). I'm still waiting for Fred Durst to show up ever since I unlocked his hidden character in the Smackdown: Just Bring It! video game in 2001.

Let's see... hip hop act & wrestlers 'Insane Clown Posse' are from Michigan, hip hop act Eminem & apparently wanna-be wrestler Eminem is from Michigan. Maybe it's something in the water... (This is becoming the cliche of the week). Perhaps this is the angle WWE should go with. Bring back ICP to feud with Eminem. The two acts have had a well-documented, real-life feud in the past.

    Preview of Heyman Hustle

So, here's the preview of the Heyman Hustle. It looks like Paul is borrowing a bit from TMZ, and stealing a bit from Eric Bischoff with some 'H... L... A... Hot Lesbian Action...'

Honestly, Paul... I had hoped for something a little better from you. This is stooping a little low.

Apparently Paul Heyman was doing red carpet-type interview at the Survivor: Micronesia premiere, when the following happened:

Heyman Hustle director & producer Mitchell Staurt told The Sun: "Paul started doing an interview in with Ami Cusack — who is the hottest member of this season's Favourites on Survivor and caused a sensation with her risque Playboy photo spread —when, impromptu, we were interrupted by wild child Flicka Smith from the show. Before Paul could finish his first question, the two were all over each other on the streets of New York!"

    Here's the video:
